HELPFUL TIPS ON WRITING TO

SAVE THE WOODS

Writing to the City is the most important thing you can do right now! Comments are due March 12, 2020. They didn’t give us much time. They say you will have no right to appeal if you don’t submit your objections, basically, NOW.

Talking Points:

Environmental preservation and protection of trees (climate emergency)

Parkland and green space, outdoor activity, the benefits of nature and mental health

Wildlife preservation

Noise pollution and traffic congestion

Density – overcrowding of this delicate ecosystem without a buffer zone

Write an email to or phone the Development Review Planner

Contact your councillor

WRITE

under “Send comments to lead file” and checkmark to include a copy to our city councillor, Stephen Blais, and city council.

Comments are due by March 12! If they aren't in by then we can't appeal.

Once you write a note and hit send, you will be informed of upcoming meetings with the city and developer. Please attend! Your voice is important!

Sign our petition! The more voices involved, the more chance we have of stopping this. Even if you don’t live in the neighbourhood, you can still object to woodland destruction.

We would like to halt this Zoning Bylaw Amendment and ask that they preserve the entire woodland and include a buffer zone for wildlife.
